Anyone that saw the Louie episode this past Tuesday night happen to notice what kind of car was used for the conversation between "Louie" and his "Mother"?

If you missed it, you should be able to see it on Hulu in a few days.

Louie used MY car (then I sold it to Carlisle) the end of May for the shoot.  I admit, its not my favorite episode, but I like to see 'my' car.

I would have posted this sooner but I have been very busy, AND I did not want to say anything until I KNEW they used what they shot.

Saw the pics on FB.. That poor car. What all needs done to fix her up?

Now im puttin the face with the Pinto. It needs engine and Pinto harnesses, fuel injectors (which I have already), throttle cable, clutch cable, vacuum hoses, heater hose, fuel, throttle body should be rebuilt, oil suppy hose to the turbo, oil pressure sending unit, fuel pressure regulator, water temp sensor and probably a few other things. I might replace the fuel hose and brake master cylinder.

Sounds like youre getting close to getting your Pinto on the road.

Now for a much needed update on the car.. I repaired the exhaust on the car, so it isn't hanging on the ground anymore. It seems to be pretty quiet, & only needs a muffler tailpipe & the front clamps adjusted so they don't hit the ground. I also went ahead & adjusted the curb idle, as well as the mixture adustment screw. That car was running so rich it was blowing black smoke out the end of the muffler. The bumper was black with carbon from it running so rich. I didn't adjust it much, just a little bit. I really want to top off her tank, drive for about an hour or so, & top off the tank again, so I can gauge her mileage. I might do that after I get her insured & registered, not to mention the door adjusted so it isn't sagging.

Much to the disapointment of the track workers, the ladder stayed home that night.

Sorry.

I could also have been an injector leaking.  Not that it matters now.

Was the ladder damaged?

I'm thinking an injector O ring leaked. I turned the fuel pressure and boost up at the track. Or the fuel rail cracked where the supply line connects to it. I haven't looked close at it yet. I did smell fuel before it caught fire.  Embarrassed

I have had the pleasure to meet a couple of Pinto people here in CT that have SERIOUS POWER!

Jerry with a 72, with a 351 punched to a 418, and Randy with an 80 converted to a 71 all out pro-street also with a puched out 351.

Can't wait to see these two at Carlisle next year!!

That's no good  Sad . I read the post on the turbo site...Did a fuel line just go bad on the car or something? That part I didn't catch.
