Bill, to quote your e-mail handle: "Why Bowtie?"

Ha ha--seriously, sounds cool--looking forward to photos.

At this end, I am still stalking the elusive non-bondo'd/non-rustbucket VW Karmann Ghia Convertible--a very rare beast indeed, especially in this day and age. I keep telling myself that "the fun is in the hunt," though.

Happy February,

Thanks for the reply.

Long story on the Why Bowtie thing, but we got that in late 2000.  It seems to work better (if you can call it that) after Feb 01.

Another long story short, this Chevy is almost the clone of my first car.  Its a Malibu Classic Chevelle, brown with a beige top, opera windows, V8, A/T.  The car was rougher than I would have liked, but is solid and good where it needs to be.

I will be on the lookout for that rare beast you are hunting.  Please keep a look out for parts for my new critter.

Sounds good--good for you, Bill!

Feel free to post what sorts of parts you're looking for.

At this end, I am going to investigate a potential candidate KG within the next couple of days. I am trying not to get my hopes up too much--but preliminary indications are positive. It ain't cheap--but I've learned that good cars of this sort are very few and very far between--so we may be "in the poor house" soon, but "in a good way." Ha ha!

Take care & have fun,

Steve
